Using the place marks above take an Egyptian Vacation. During your trip keep a journal about the places you visit. You are start your tour at the WRMS then travel to the pyramids at Meroe. From here you will travel north following the flow of the river. If you have Google Earth on your computer, you will be best served opening up the larger map in Google Earth use the following like to access the KML for this tour. Also please select Earth at the tool bar in the top right of the map. When you click on the pushpin, in the bottom right of the pop up box click more and zoom in to get a closer look at each location.
Assignment
While on your vacation you are to keep a journal of the places your go in a Google Doc add your teacher as a viewer of your document. During our month study of Egypt you need to visit all the places on the tour. Each day you view the tour you will create a log entry in your Google Doc. Indicate the places you visited, what you learned at each location, something you want to know more about that place, and any questions you have. Please include at least one screen capture per entry of something you found interesting during your trip.
Your journal response need to have proper spelling, capitalization, and must use 5 or more content specific vocabulary words that are underlined. Your trip should be broken up into at least 5 segments with a paragraph or more per entry.You will be graded using the districts rubric for writing. The content portion of the rubric will be weighted 75% verses the mechanics and writing style will be 25%.
